Recognize achievements of Great American Smokeout with flowers

by webdev

November 28, 2011

November 17 was the American Cancer Society's 36th annual Great American Smokeout, a day dedicated to helping smokers quit the unhealthy habit. If you know someone who took advantage of this day of empowerment to kick the habit, it is never too late to show them how proud you are. Send a gift of flowers to give them the encouragement to stay smoke-free.

The Great American Smokeout encourages smokers to use the date to make a plan to quit, or to plan in advance to stop smoking on that day. The American Cancer Society reports that tobacco use remains the single largest preventable cause of disease and death in the United States. Still, more than 45 million Americans have yet to quit smoking cigarettes.

Quitting smoking is certainly hard, but those who take the first steps toward a smoke-free life may find more success by reaching out for help. Encouragement also helps smokers who are trying to quit. Show your loved ones how much you support their new, healthy habits by sending gorgeous Christmas flowers or other winter flowers online.
