One of the most popular flowers in Sikkim, India, is the orchid, which can offer a vast array of splendid colors to light up any home. In fact, it's proving to a booming industry in the area as many customers are eager to buy flowers here, according to Asian News International.

The state has even promoted the growth of the orchids with several initiatives, the news source reports.

"Even if you see the history of this region, we have always been growing the ornamental flowers. But when the department made us aware that these flowers can be sold and the potential from its sale is high, we started doing it for commercial purposes," Denise Rai, a flower grower, told the news provider.

The prevalence of these specific buds in Sikkim has led many to call it The Orchid Belt - there are over 400 types of this flower available in the region.
