Flowers can make anyone turn up a smile, even in the worst of times. Sending bouquets of these blooms is the perfect way to show someone they are loved and cared for, especially when they do not expect it. Teleflora is hosting its 11th annual Make Someone Smile campaign, which donates bouquets to nursing homes across the U.S. and Canada, according to the Delhi News-Record.
"We have to donate our own time, but that's OK," Joyce Verbrugge, the owner of Delhi Flowers and Gifts in Ontario, told the news source. "If we can make someone happy, that would be great."
Verbrugge expects to donate to 24 bouquets to nursing homes in the area, and in return, Teleflora will provide the shop with some Be Happy Mugs, the news provider reports.
According to the Flint Journal, The Genesy Hurley Cancer Center and Woodhaven Senior Community will be receiving more than 125 bouquets for this event in hopes to make some of the elderly smile.
Teleflora is expecting to distribute more than 40,000 Be Happy mugs for the people who participate in the project.
