Charlize Theron admires orchids
by
webdev
August 25, 2010
Actress Charlize Theron was spotted admiring some white orchids outside a storefront in Los Angeles, according to PopSugar.com. Theron is known for her roles in The Devil's Advocate and The Cider House Rules.
The beauty, who recently celebrated her 35th birthday, was looking fit and tanned. The alabaster blossoms weren't the only flowers on her agenda. The star headed to the Brandon Flowers concert which happened to be touring in the city.
It's no wonder that the white petals caught Theron's attention, as orchids are very popular
plant
because of their vibrant colors and diverse shapes and sizes. The flowers are particularly suited to elegant affairs, which may be why the starlet was so taken with the blooms.
According to Everything-Orchids.com, there are innumerable varieties of orchid, but the most common in the U.S. is the Moth Orchid, which boasts a purple-pink hue.
Orchids can be featured as stand-alone
plants
, but can also be incorporated into a
bouquet of flowers
to add an element of mystery. Because these flowers are often tall, they can add height to an arrangement.
