Flowers add elegance to exciting events

by Blogger

Philadelphia Museum of Art

Harvest moon flower arrangement featured at Philadelphia Museum of Art On October 5, Teleflora was the exclusive floral provider for the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s Annual Young Friends Rodin Garden Party. Held at the Rodin Garden, the elegant party featured great food, cocktails and a raffle. The theme was Harvest Moon and Teleflora worked with member florist Tim Farrell of Farrell’s Florist, who created a beautiful array of arrangements for the entrance, cocktail tables, bars and even flowers to float in the fountain.

The Women’s Conference 2007

Also last month, Teleflora’s Pink Blush Bouquets were spotted at The Women’s Conference 2007, hosted by First Lady Maria Shriver on October 23 at the Long Beach Convention Center in California. Teleflora provided 46 Pink Blush Bouquets for display at receptions and throughout the conference and exhibition halls.

Teleflora created the bouquets in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Teleflora’s ongoing partnership with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF). The Women’s Conference attracted more than 14,000 women and a world-class roster of speakers and performers that included: Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah of Jordan, Jamie Lee Curtis, Diane von Furstenberg, Vanessa Williams, Willow Bay, Dr. Martha Beck, Elizabeth Gilbert (author of “Eat, Pray, Love”), Katharine McPhee and Joan Baez.

Flower Blog: A forum for info, fun place to be

by Jacqueline

Flowers. They’re as diverse and expressive as you are. And we at Teleflora think there should be a way for flower lovers to talk – a forum for information and a fun place to be. So, we’re launching flower blog!

Why should you care what Teleflora has to say? Unlike our competition, all of our bouquets are hand-arranged and delivered by a local florist using the freshest flowers available. The bottom line is: We’re the best. We know about flowers, we care about flowers and we want to create a dialogue with other people who share the passion.

Flower lovers, put down some roots
Whether you have a casual interest (you smile every time you see a bloom, but spelling chrysanthemum always stumps you!) or you’re a total flower-power person (you can’t go a week without fresh flowers in every room of your house) or you’re all about flowers because you sell them for a living, this is the spot to put down some roots.

Flowers are part of everyone’s life. Striking colors, arresting shapes, intoxicating scents, the soft delicacy of a petal. Festive Fragrance Holiday Flower Arrangement Maybe as a kid you picked a flower and played he loves me, he loves me not. Or you gathered a bunch and gave them to your mom. Maybe you pressed flowers in a book.

It’s hard to forget the first time someone gave you a rose; your first corsage or boutonnière. And what wedding would be complete without gorgeous blooms?

Connecting with nature, family and friends
Not that flowers are all love, all the time. Bouquets can mean so many things – cheer up, get well, congratulations, i miss you, happy birthday, thanks for the fabulous party, i’m sorry, you’re the best, i had a wonderful time, we’re so proud of you, please give me one more chance, you mean so much to us, happy holidays, i can’t wait to see you, the team appreciates all your hard work, what would i do without you? we know you’ll do a great job!

Without flowers, the world would be a dismal place. Flowers bring us beauty. They make us feel good. They’re gifts from nature. They mark milestones in our lives. They help us connect with family and friends. They let us mend fences and forge new ties.

A rich variety of posts
If you’re the type of person who stops to smell the roses, we hope you’ll stop by flower blog on a regular basis. We’ll have plenty of flower news, trends and events as well as expert advice on decorating and gift-giving with flowers. Plus, you can read floral horoscopes, florist stories, updates on Teleflora programs and more.

We look forward to hearing from you, too. Want to share a story about flowers? We’d love to hear it. Have a bunch of daisies you want the world to see? Send a picture our way. Got a question? We’ve got a top-notch team to answer it.

Read on, write in and enjoy!

One gorgeous gift to go, please

by Karin - Merchandising

Like I did last year, I will be traveling out of town this Thanksgiving to visit family – and working the day before! This never leaves enough time to find the right hostess gift… preferably one that fits in carry-on luggage.

Thanksgiving Centerpiece Floral Arrangement Teleflora offers a super solution. I placed an order for Teleflora’s Autumn Bronze Centerpiece that will be delivered to my aunt by a local florist. Because they will arrive so fresh, I know that the flowers will still be beautiful on Thanksgiving Day. A gorgeous floral arrangement delivered in a lasting keepsake will convey how much I appreciate her hospitality and look forward to seeing her.
